Terms of use

These terms cover your use of Comms, operated by Gasoline LLC. We’ve kept them as short and plain as we can. By creating an account you agree to them.

Talent

• Gifts come with no obligation to post unless a brand’s brief says otherwise and you agreed to it before claiming.
• If you post about a gift, follow the FTC’s endorsement rules: make it clear you received the product for free (for example #gifted or Instagram’s paid-partnership label).
• Keep your address and sizes accurate. Brands aren’t obliged to re-send a gift that went to an old address.
• Affiliate commissions are paid by the brand under the terms shown on the drop.
• Keep deals with brands you met on Comms on Comms. That’s what protects you: fees are held until your post is live and paid out on time. If a brand asks to move a deal to email or DMs, tell us at support@gasoline.xyz.
• You must be 13 or older to use Comms. If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms with you.
• Talent under 13 can only appear through a parent-managed account: the parent or legal guardian is the account holder, gives consent, receives gifts at their address, and receives any payment. We don’t collect personal information from children under 13.
• If a child appears in paid content, some states (including California, Illinois and Minnesota) require part of the earnings to be set aside in a trust for the child. The parent is responsible for that.

Brands and agencies

• You’re responsible for the products you send, including product safety, age restrictions and shipping rules for perishables and alcohol.
• Use talent data only to run gifting with them on Comms. Don’t export it to build lists elsewhere or contact talent who opted out.
• Talent you find through Comms stay on Comms. For 12 months after you first discover, invite or gift someone from the Comms network (talent you didn’t bring yourself), any gift, paid deal or affiliate arrangement with them goes through Comms. Don’t ask for or share contact details to move it elsewhere. If you do, you owe the fee Comms would have charged on that work, and we may suspend your workspace. Talent you add yourself (your own lists, imports and links) aren’t covered.
• Posts belong to the talent who made them. Ask before reusing their content unless they’ve agreed to usage rights.
• Subscriptions renew until cancelled and are billed on the web. Refunds follow our refund policy.
• For drops featuring children, follow the FTC’s rules on advertising to children, and only work with minors through their parent or guardian.

Everyone

• No fake accounts, bought followers, or misleading anyone about who you are.
• We can suspend accounts that break these terms.
• Comms is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months.
• These terms are governed by the laws of California.
