Comms connects talent with brands that want to send them products. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect, why we need it, and how to delete it. Comms is operated by Gasoline LLC, 30 N Gould Street, Suite R, Sheridan, WY 82801.
What we collect from talent
- From Instagram or TikTok, when you connect: your username, display name, profile photo, follower count, your recent posts and stories with their captions and public counts (likes, comments), and post insights (views, reach, saves, shares). If you have 100+ followers we also read aggregated audience demographics (age range, gender, top countries). We never see your password and can’t post, comment or message as you.
- From you: your phone number, email, shipping address, sizes (your “size passport”), dietary needs and brands you’d rather not hear from.
- From shipping and stores: tracking updates for gifts sent to you, and sales made with your affiliate code.
How we use it
- Showing brands your profile, follower count, engagement rate and posting record so they can decide to send you a gift.
- Shipping gifts to you in the right size. If you turn on “Hide my address”, brands only see your city and state; we print the label.
- Finding posts where you tag a brand that gifted you, so the brand sees the result and you get credit, without screenshots.
- Texting and emailing you about gifts, deadlines and deliveries. Reply STOP to any text to opt out.
We don’t sell your data and we don’t use it for advertising.
Emails and texts
Emails and texts about a gift you’ve claimed (approval, your pass, shipping, delivery and reminders) are part of the service. Invites from a brand you haven’t worked with yet include a link to stop invites. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts.
Who we share it with
- Brands and agencies you receive gifts from, or that you request a gift from in Discover. If you choose to hear from other brands too, brands looking for talent like you can see your profile, follower count, engagement and aggregated audience (never your address or phone).
- Service providers that run the product for us: hosting and database (Vercel, Supabase), texts (Twilio), email (Resend), AI that suggests the topics you post about from your bio and captions (Anthropic, which doesn’t train on this data), shipping (carriers, label and fulfilment partners, the brand’s Shopify store). They only process data on our instructions.
- Authorities, if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
While your account is open. Instagram and TikTok data is refreshed while you’re connected; if you disconnect, we stop collecting and delete your access token straight away. Posts already credited to a gift stay in that brand’s report unless you ask us to delete them. Messages between you and a brand are kept while either account is open and deleted with the account; contact details in messages are hidden before they’re saved, and conversations someone reports are read by Comms to look into it.
Deleting your data
Email privacy@gasoline.xyz or remove Comms from Instagram (Settings → Apps and websites). We delete your Instagram data within 30 days. You can also check a deletion request.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU), you can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. Contact privacy@gasoline.xyz; we’ll reply within 30 days.
Children
You must be 13 or older to have a Comms account, and talent under 18 need a parent or guardian’s permission.
We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Talent under 13 can only appear through a parent-managed account: the parent or legal guardian is the account holder and gives consent, and the name, email, phone and shipping address on file are the parent’s. For the child we keep only the public channel (their handle) and its follower stats. If you think a child under 13 has signed up on their own, email privacy@gasoline.xyz and we’ll delete the account.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
